Choosing a mini excavator in Perth
Perth blocks range from tight inner-city renovations to sandy lots in the northern corridor and rocky ground in the Hills. The right Rippa depends on access, soil and what you'll dig most.
Under 1.2 tonne: R06, R10
Compact enough for tight side access, backyard landscaping and indoor or under-house work. The R06 (747 kg) and R10 (978 kg) both run the Kubota Z482 diesel.
1.2 – 2 tonne: R13, R15, R18, R22
The sweet spot for most Perth homeowners, landscapers and small contractors: footings, trenching, retaining walls, pools and drainage. The R15 and R13 PRO run the 3-cylinder Kubota D722, the R18 PRO steps up to the D902, and the R22 PRO adds a triple-pump hydraulic system and 2,365 mm dig depth.
3 tonne and up: R32, R57, R82
